Day 01: Arrival

Day 03: Muscat to Nizwa

After breakfast, proceed on a morning tour of the city, the capital of Oman, starting with the Grand Mosque ( except Friday ) then visit Bait Al Zubair Museum ( except Friday ) which gives brief introduction that traces Oman’s history and development. Drive along the waterfront Corniche visiting the fish Market & the colourful Muttrah Souq. A photo stop at the magnificent Al Alam Palace, official palace of his majesty Sultan Qaboos flanked by the 16th century Mirani & Jalali Forts, the fort offer a wealth of insights into Oman’s rich heritage & culture and was restored  and converted into a museum in the reign of his Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Evening at leisure.

Day 04: Nizwa – Wahiba Sands

Breakfast, then drive to visit the famous Round Tower Fort of Nizwa probably one of the best architectural fort in Oman, Afterwards visit Nizwa Souq where traditional Omani items are sold.

Your next stop is Bahla, the mystical village known for Arabian potteries, here you will visist one of the pottery making units ( closed on public holidays and Fridays ) You will then visit Jabrin Castle which was built in the 17th century & has magnificent plasterwork, wooden carvings, and painted ceilings making this castle amazingly different ( just for photo stop )

Day 05: Wahiba Sands – Al Khaluf Gulf

After breakfast, depart for Jebel Akhdar “The green Mountain”. We proceed to Wadi Al Madeen from here a 36 klm stretch of winding road takes one to Jebel Al Akhdar  ( 2000 m. above sea level ) the green jewel of the Al Hajjar mountain ranges, a truly unique spot in the Arabian Peninsula.

Walk along the Roses villages ( 2 hrs hiking )

On the slope of the Jebel Akhdar, on top of Wadi Al-muayadeen lay the villahes of Al-Ayn Al-Aqoor & Sharegah, They grow among other plants roses and pomegranates. The roses flower in March and April; walking in the gardens at this time is an enchantment for the eyes and the nose. The pomegranates are harvested in late august and September ; they are very tasty and famous for their enormous size.

Enjoy the cool climate up in the mountains. Jebel Akhdar is famed for its fruit orchards typically laid out terrace style along the slopes of mountains, which are endowed w with natural springs and aflaj.  The villages of Saiq, Wadi Bani Habib ( he village of the old houses ) & Al Ain dot the landscape, We depart for the Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand and dunes rising up to 200 m . Which are host to a variety of of flora and fauna. The ever-changing patterns of the dunes are a photographer’s delight.

Day 06: Al khaluf – Ras A Ruwais

We head towards the ocean and as we draw close to it we will come across a few settlements of the Wahiba nomads where women wear black mask burqas. Once we reach the coast we travel alongside an enormous salt lagoon, until we reach the beach. From there, we will continue our drive just meters from ocean waves, before at Al Khaluf Gulf where white dunes flow to the water.

Day 07: Ras Al Ruwais – Ras Al Had


Your day of discovery will commence as you travel to the Wilayat that comprises 137 villages and clusters of settlements alone a coastal line that stretches 170 klm from Al Dafah in to the north to Ras Al Ruwais in the South , With the cool  breeze blowing inwards from the Arabia Sea and the Indian Ocean bringing clouds and drizzle, the weather is fine almost all the year around. The Al Kawus winds blowing in from the sea, particularly, towards the beach front town of Al-Ashkhara is in itself a touristic attraction Dinner and overnight stay in Igloo Tent.

Day 08: Sur to Muscat via coastal road

Breakfast, then at 12.00h proceed to Ras Al Had and check into the hotel.

At night we have a short drive to the Ras Al-Jinz Scientific & visitor Centre where we are esxorted to the beach by trained guides to watch the turtles nesting on the sands.

Dinner & overnight stay at Turtle Beach resort .
